Industries have resumed their operations giving considerable importance to health and safety of staff. With Government of India giving more thrust to localisation, Indian machine tool industry is keen to substitute imports and also explore new user segments especially agriculture machinery, pharmaceutical and medical equipments, defence, and other emerging sectors.
There will be more push for digitalisation, automation and optimisation of processes in the manufacturing ecosystem in the medium to long-term. Industries need to use manpower judiciously for new product and process developments as well as for engineering services.
Businesses need to expand their horizons through partnerships and joint ventures and explore new sectors for growth. The present environment is also prompting industries to work together for providing services, capacity utilisation and volume manufacturing.
The union government has made a series of announcements for MSMEs to improve liquidity and meet cash flow requirements. Member companies are urged to explore and judiciously take advantage of them.
The newsletter brings you updates on various stimulus measures/packages announced by the central and state governments. It also gives an insight into news updates, various government notifications and best practices adopted by Indian and overseas industries to combat the coronavirus pandemic. |
